36. Precious Treasure

This is the black and white version of a picture I decided to re-do from a picture I did a long time ago. When I played in a D&D game awhile ago I played a cowardly tiefling by the name of Kris. It was a hermaphrodite who had lived its entire life alone because its parents had abandoned it a long time ago. So when an adventuring team came along, Kris jumped at the opportunity to be around other people, even if they weren't tielfings like it.

Kris became friends with the group and eventually came across this guy named Saladin who was a half demon. Saladin wanted something they had and so tried to kill the party. Not wanting to deal with him again the warrior of our group killed Saladin and ripped his wings off. Later everyone including Kris found out that Saladin, before dying, cast a spell to allow his soul to latch onto the closest being, which just happened to be Kris.

Kris became accustomed to having him in its head because he was someone to talk to and occasionally he was nice to Kris. That was until Saladin said something stupid which caused Kris to force him out of its head. Later Kris requested that a gold dragon, that they had done a favor for bring Saladin back. When Saladin came back he had found that he had grown fond of Kris because he saw in its mind how needy it was and caring it was. So he decided to stick around.

Eventually it grew from him just traveling with them to him being in love with Kris. He was even willing to put up with the tauntings of the warrior (who pranced around with Saladin's first set of wings saying in a high pitch voice, "I am Saladin... Please don't rip off my wings big strong warrior!") I had always liked the relationship between Saladin and Kris. That is why I redrew that picture I did a long time ago. I found it and decided to re-do it and here is what the picture looks like redone and color. All I have to say though... This took for freaking ever to color!
